Anti-Slop

wavreel doesn't make slop

Use a real human voice and wavreel's real stock video and images, and your creation is 100% human — no AI slop. We believe in a slop-free internet, which is why real footage is what wavreel reaches for by default.

If you do want AI in your work, the system supports that too. The point isn't that AI is off limits. The point is that it's your call, not the default.

With wavreel you have options

Voice and visuals are separate choices — mix them however you like.

Record yourself, then let wavreel match real stock footage to what you said. Nothing in the finished video was generated.

Keep the part people connect with — your actual voice — and generate the b-roll when real footage doesn't exist for your subject.

Useful when you'd rather not record — a script narrated by a synthetic voice over genuine stock clips.

Everything synthesised, start to finish. It's supported, it's one click away, and it is not what wavreel does unless you ask for it.

What anti-slop means in practice

Defaults are the whole argument. Here are ours.

Your voice is the default

Upload a recording or a voice memo and wavreel builds around it. Text-to-speech is there if you want it, but nothing reaches for it on your behalf.

Real footage is the default

Scenes are matched to real stock video and photography — footage of actual places, actual people, actual things. Generation is opt-in, per project.

AI where it earns its place

Transcription, scene splitting and caption timing are the parts worth automating. That's machine work on your material, not a machine inventing the material.

You always know which is which

Generated media is labelled as generated in the scene list, so you never have to guess what ended up in your own video.

How to make a 100% human reel

This is the default path. You don't have to turn anything off to get here.

Make a slop-free reel
  • Record your own voice, or upload a voice memo you already have.
  • Let wavreel transcribe it and split it into scenes.
  • Keep the real stock footage it matches to each scene.
  • Export. Every frame and every word came from a person.

Your voice. Real footage. Your call.

Bring a recording and wavreel handles the transcript, the scene splitting, the captions and the footage — without inventing anything you didn't ask for.
